May 8th

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there, especially my mom. Love you more than you'll ever know. 

            Your goal is to create a weekly menu with meals all of a certain color for each day of the week. On Monday, all meals have to be red, on Tuesday they are orange, etc. - Prompt is from: https://www.journalbuddies.com/creative-writing-2/creative-writing-prompts-for-adults/          

Rainbow Meals 

I loved this prompt when I saw it but then realized as I was doing it that is very hard to make meals all of a certain color. Especially some of the colors. Below, I have each of the days marked with their set color and then each of the meals planned out. Gotta say, some of it I would never eat. Lol

🍓 Monday (Red): 

    Breakfast: Strawberry Smoothie, Strawberry stuffed French Toast topped with strawberries and strawberry syrup 

    Lunch: Tomato sandwich and a bowl of strawberries

    Dinner: Spaghetti with chicken parmigiana covered in tomato sauce,

🍑 Tuesday (Orange): 

    Breakfast: Peaches and an orange muffin

    Lunch: Tomato soup, pumpkin bread

    Dinner: Sweet Potato Fries, Carrots, and orange chicken

🍌Wednesday (Yellow):

    Breakfast: Bananas

    Lunch: Yellow squash casserole, cheese sandwich on potato bread

    Dinner: Yellow rice with chicken, corn on the cob, and mac and cheese

🥒 Thursday (Green): (Otherwise known as the easiest color day there was) 

    Breakfast: Green Eggs and Ham (I just had to haha. And No Sam, I don't believe I'd like green eggs and ham because I'm not the biggest fan of eggs.) and Green Grapes

    Lunch: Salad with spinach, cucumbers, and pickles 

    Dinner: Green beans, Pasta Verde noodles with green pasta sauce

💙 Friday (Blue): (And this was one of the two hardest days, though it would be Percy Jackson's favorite day. Lol)

    Breakfast: Blueberry and Blue Raspberry topped Oatmeal

    Lunch: Blueberry Salad with Blue cheese chunks and Blueberry vinaigrette dressing

    Dinner: Blueberry Pancakes with blueberries on top. Blueberry smoothie

🍇 Saturday (Purple): (And this was the other hardest day)

    Breakfast: Purple sweet potato waffles and grapes

    Lunch: Pickled eggs salad with purple carrots and purple potatoes

    Dinner: Purple cabbage salad, with a side of purple cauliflower & sweet potato soup

🥔 Sunday (Brown/tan): 

    Breakfast: Reese's Puffs Cereal 

    Lunch: Whole wheat bread sandwich, mixed nuts for a snack

    Dinner: Brown rice with grilled chicken
