Favorites of Winter 2024-2025

     ❄️ My Favorites of Winter 2024- 2025 ☃️

Below, I have listed some of my favorite music, movies, YouTube videos, and TV that I have watched or listened to this winter. This has been a great season for some amazing entertainment. 

🎞️ Movies/Movie Trailers/ Specials:

1. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Wicked Performance at 97th Oscars (2025)

    - This is probably my favorite thing I watched on this list. I teared up listening to this absolute masterpiece. They are such incredible singers and I love that they played homage to The Wizard of Oz and The Wiz, along with Wicked. 

2. Stepmom  

- I watched Stepmom with my mother early in March. This was the first time I had watched this movie since childhood and it affected me greatly. I don’t remember crying that much with a movie in a long time. But I did enjoy it a lot. Julia Roberts will always be one of my favorite actresses. I have loved her in every movie I’ve seen her in. 

Spoiler: 

 I don’t recommend watching this after losing a parent. 

3. Freakier Friday Trailer

- I had to put this picture of Chad for this. He’s aged so damn well. 🤣 I cannot believe it’s been almost 22 years since the first movie. It will be a joy to revisit these characters after so many years. This was a great trailer and I’m looking forward to seeing the movie. 

🎵 Music:

This year has been great for new music. Here are some of the best that I loved in Winter 2024-2025. 

1. Mayhem by Lady Gaga

    🎶 Gotta love new Lady Gaga music. There are so many great songs on this album. My favorites are “How Bad Do U Want Me,” “Abracadabra,” “Perfect Celebrity,”  “Vanish into You,” and “Don’t Call Tonight.”  My favorite is definitely “How Bad Do U Want Me.” 

2. “Birds of a Feather” by Billie Eilish

    🎼 I have never really been a fan of Billie’s music but I fell in love with this song when I first heard it this year. It is wonderful in every single way.

3. “But I’ll Keep Trying” by Snow Patrol

    🎧 Snow Patrol will always be one of my favorite groups and I adore this song. 

4. “Peace” by O.A.R. 

    🎵 Great song.  

5. “Overtime” and “Miles Ahead” by The Strike

     🎶  Another great band and two wonderful songs. I could listen to their music on repeat for hours. Wonderful songs. 

6. “Cross My Heart” by Mariana Trench

    🎼 Such a fun song. Love it! “Take me with you, I start to miss you” 

📺 TV Shows:

1. Ghosts (Season 4)

~ Ghosts is my favorite show on TV right now. I’m loving Season 4 so much. They are so clever with their storylines and humor. It’s great that they have been renewed for two more seasons. Cannot wait to see where they go from here!

1. BooksandLala- Kayla’s videos bring so much joy to my days when I watch them. We do not have the same taste in books but I love listening to her talk about them and seeing her creative ideas.

~ 2024 Reading Year in Review-  Will always love seeing people’s reading statistics and Kayla goes all out every year. 

~ Designing & Predicting 4 Book Cover- Definitely, one of her best series. I just love seeing her ideas with these covers. 

~ Guessing Your Favourite Books pt 3

~ Welcome to a new monthly vlog series!- I think it’s funny that she posted this today and I finished my book for the Buzzword challenge for January today (Jan 11th)

2. Dominic Noble

~ I Did Not Enjoy Reading Wicked- Yep, completely agree with him about this book.

~ Dan and Phil play Poppy Playtime CHAPTER 4!- Oh my goodness, I have been waiting for over a year. YAY! Gosh, this keeps getting creepier. 

4. Charlie Hopkinson

~ Qui Gon learns Obi Wan forgot to tell Luke a key detail- It’s great to catch up on these again. 

~ Qui Gon learns what Obi Wan tells Luke about his father

~ Obi Wan learns Uncle Owen gets Roasted

5. The Library of Allenxandria

~ Book Jeopardy Season 2 Episode 7! | Evie v Yolanda v Derri!- Book Jeopardy will always be a favorite. Here’s hoping the next episode is soon. Allen is so darn funny. I love the joke with the sponsor.
